The Karate Kid Behind-the-Scenes Featurette: Kung Fu
Coming soon! Boy, I am very excited about seeing this movie!
SHREK EVER AFTER!
SHREK EVER AFTER gets a 5 because for me, it was not worth spending $19 to see it in IMAX 3D. Only because it was a little too short. But of course, that is only my opinion. However, it still turned out to be a pretty decent film.
All righty! That's it! More moving reviews coming soon! In the meantime, be blessed and have a great Memorial Day weekend, everybody!
ROBIN HOOD!
Russell Crowe stars in the title role. He is an expert archer who travels to Nottingham, a trouble village dominated by violence. While there, he tries to save widow and tries to fall in love with her. At the same time, Robin and his men team up to save the forest from the corruption of the sheriff, who is responsible bloody wars that has been going on there for decades. I must confess, I slept threw the first few minutes of the movie. But that was only because I did had my coffee yet at the time. Aside from that, I enjoyed Crowe's performance as Robin Hood and I will admit that he did a much better job at this role than Kevin Costner did back in the early 90's.
ROBIN HOOD gets a 6 for a pretty good effort, depsite that it was a long movie.
More reviews coming soon including SHREK EVER AFTER, which explains why I am wearing the funky sunglasses you see here! Anyways, be blessed everybody!

INVICTUS
This film takes place in 1990 South Africa when Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) is elected President and is relying on the country's rugby team and his captain (Matt Damon) to win the World Cup and perhaps bring unity among the already divided nation. Freeman gives one of the best performances of his career as Mandela and Clint Eastwood shines once again as director if this film! Now, check out the photos I took at Madame Tussaud's last January and I must say that the Morgan Freeman and Nelson Mandela displays look-alike look almost exactly alike! That may have been the reason why Freeman was so convicing in his role as Mandela in "INVICTUS", which I am giving a 9!
Have a great day and I will have my review on Robin Hood later this week! Be Blessed, everyone!

crooklyn part 10
From Spike Lee's 1994 movie, "CROOKLYN", it's my favorite part of the whole movie featuring one of Aretha Franklin's best jams ever!

JUST WRIGHT
But you will not believe what the two had to go through to get there. Movietickets.com calls it a modern-day Cinderella story. In my opinion, Cinderella, it's not? But it is an excellent date movie and it shows that even a rich, sports star can have compassion and not let their careers get in the way of finding love for who she is. I hope my future wife will be that way with me. That's another story all together.
Anyways, Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show) and Pam Grier also star. "JUST WRIGHT" gets a just right score of an 8!
It is one of the best date movies I have seen in a quite a while because Queen Latifah is a great actress!
More reviews coming soon and I also posted a classic video from Queen Latifah from back in 1991! Have a great day and Be Blessed, everybody!

INTRODUCTION & FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!
But for my first review on my blog site, I would like to take you back to late 2004 for one of the greatest football movies ever made. It's entitled, "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS". Based on the incredible true story, Billy Bob Thorton stars as the coach of a Texas high school football team whose hard work and dedication as a team brought hope and fire into their town.
The two things that brought me back to seeing this movie was the NBC series that is based on this movie and country music superstar Tim McGraw who co-starred with Sandra Bullock in another football movie based on a true story called "The Blind Side" But the memory I gained most from seeing this classic was when my best friend and I saw it on a "Friday Night" in the movie theater and when we went to a pizza restaurant to enjoy pizza, I ate half-the-pie in less than 30 minutes, that was when my best friend and I had a tough-love style talk with me about eating healthy and making lifestyle changes. Now, when I watch the scenes where McGraw's character abuses his son, it sort of reminds of the chat my best friend and I had that night. But 5 1/2 years later and 220 pounds lighter, I'm glad it clicked.
Back to the movie, as I mentioned, "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS" is one of the best football movies ever made, along with "Remember The Titans", "Jerry Maguire" and "Invicible." You can feel the excitement building throughout the movie as the players try their hardest to balance football with their personal lives. I love this movie so much and I am giving "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS" a 9!
So I hope you guys enjoyed my very first movie review on this site and more movie reviews coming soon! Have a great night and Be Blessed Everybody!
