'Inception' Trailer 2 HD

EAT PRAY LOVE

I don't care what anybody says!  This is Julia Roberts' best movie & performance since 1997's "My Best Friend's Wedding"!  Roberts plays a divorced woman who dreams of finding a great husband, a lovely house and a successful career, only to find herself not knowing what she really wants to do with her life.  So she travels to various parts of the world including Italy, India and Bali.  In all three of those countries, she begins a journey where she learns a lot more about herself than she originally expected.  In her travels, she learns to step outside her comfort zone and rebuilds her life through the joy of eating, praying, peace and true love.  As a person who has been a lot of confusion myself prior to my life change as I lost the weight, this movie touched my heart a lot and I'm sure EAT PRAY LOVE will touch your heart as well!  So it should come as no surprise that I am giving this movie a BIG 10!

All right, Folks!  More new reviews coming soon!  Have a great day and Be Blessed!

INCEPTION!

This movie from Warner Bros. starring Leonardo DiCaprio is sort of a cross between The Matrix and Shutter Island put together!

DiCaprio portrays Dom Cobb, a thief who is caught in a dream world of corporate espionage that makes both a valuable player and a fugitive at the same time.  In order to get his back, he must accept one last job that can give him his life back.  This is DiCaprio's best movie since 2006's "The Departed" and like his previous movie, "Shutter Island", you have to pay close attention to the film because twists and turns happen throughout every single scene.  But I must say, Inception will grab your attention for sure and that is why I am giving it a BIG 10!!!

More reviews coming soon!  Be Blessed, everybody!

Despicable Me - Official Trailer 4 [HD]

Steve Carrell is the voice of Gru, a mad scientist who plans a big heist.  He is going to the moon to steal it!  However, when he meets three orphaned little girls who sees him as their future father, Gru's world begins to change a bit.  The story line was not so bad at all and the animation here was great.  The highlight of the movie is the small army of minions.  Man, they were funny!  Carrell once again shows us why he is one of the funniest actors on the planet today!

I'm giving DESPICABLE ME a 7!  More movie reviews coming soon!  Be blessed everybody!

Step Up 3D Movie Review: Beyond The Trailer

Toy Story 3 - (Featuring Official Teaser Trailer [HD])

Toy Story 3 is the second sequel of the original animated smash that started it all for the team of Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation.  This time, Woody and Buzz have come to realize that their owner Andy is getting ready to go to college and Woody is destined to join him.  This leads to an all-new adventure for Andy's toys as go out of his room and into a day care center where they try to blend in.  Now, I will admit I had never seen the first two Two Story movies until I rented them both on Netflix recently and I must say, the story line here was very funny, very touching and very heartwarming.  I remember having a couple of those toys myself when I was younger and I can imagine that Andy's toys were thinking that he would never stop playing with them.  But in Toy Story 3, the time has arrived!  I enjoy this movie a lot and it is one of the best family-friendly films of 2010!

With Tom Hanks and Tim Allen returning as the voice of Woody and Buzz respectively, Toy Story 3 gets a big 10!

THE A-TEAM"!

Well folks, it's here!  The new big screen version of "THE A-TEAM" has arrived in theaters this weekend  Liam Neeson is Hannibal, Bradley Cooper as Face, along with Murdoch and Baracus are a group of soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit.  Now, these four men join forces to not only to clear their names, but to also find the true ringleader behind the crime.  Based on the popular T.V. series of the 1980's, Jessica Biel and Patrick Wilson also star.

Now, I don't believe in giving too much away.  But look for two of the original "A-Team" stars Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz with cameos in the film.  It is very ironic because Stephen J. Cannell, who produced the original television series also produces the new big-screen version.  And for that reason and the fact the it is one of the best action movies of this summer, I am going to give "THE A-TEAM" a 9!

Have a great week and look for more movie reviews very soon.  Be blessed, everybody!

SEX AND THE CITY 2

The gang from "SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE" return with "SEX AND THE CITY 2"! The story is the same concept as their frist big screen movie and original HBO TV counterpart. Four women depend on each other to help manage their struggles between their relationships and thier careers in New York City and all kinds of mayhem occurs. "SEX AND THE CITY 2" is just as great as the first movie, although I will admit I never saw the original HBO TV show. The film was hilarious and Carrie is my absolute favorite charachter in the whole film.  And yes, let's give props to Mr. Big (Chris Noth)!  Shall we?!

Alright!  Now, "SEX AND THE CITY" will get a 7! More reviews coming soon! Be blessed, everybody and have a great day!

PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME

After successful films together such as The Pirates of The Caribbean Trilogy, The Narnia movies and Glory Road, Walt Disney Pictures and producer Jerry Bruckheimer team up once again to bring you, "PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME".  Jake Gyllenhaal plays the title role of a prince who teams up with a princess to protect a dagger that is capable of releasing the sands of time that reverse time and allow its enemies to take over the world.  I will confess right now that I slept for like, the first 30 minutes of the film because I could not keep up with the story line.  But things started picking up by the end of the film.  I thought for a moment this was a spin-off from the second Narnia movie.  But then, I had just remembered that the Prince there was named Caspian.  With that in mind, I am going to give "PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME" a 5 because even though the filming was great, the story was little too boring for me.  I think this film was trying to be a modern-day Robin Hood when it really wasn't.

More reviews coming soon!  In the meantime, have a great day and be blessed, everybody!

Also coming soon!

The Karate Kid Behind-the-Scenes Featurette: Kung Fu

Coming soon! Boy, I am very excited about seeing this movie!

SHREK EVER AFTER!

In this fourth installment of Dreamworks Animation's Shrek series, the title charachter and Fiona are now raising a family of three children.  They are in the middle of a birthday party for one of their children when all of a sudden, Shrek is all caught up in a new mission to save his wife.  This time, his enemy is Rumpelstiltskin and he is the king in his own version of Far Far Away where Shrek and Fiona never met.  All the familar vioces and faces return including Mike Myers as the title role, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas among others.

SHREK EVER AFTER gets a 5 because for me, it was not worth spending $19 to see it in IMAX 3D.  Only because it was a little too short.  But of course, that is only my opinion.  However, it still turned out to be a pretty decent film.

All righty!  That's it!  More moving reviews coming soon!  In the meantime, be blessed and have a great Memorial Day weekend, everybody!

ROBIN HOOD!

Russell Crowe stars in the title role.  He is an expert archer who travels to Nottingham, a trouble village dominated by violence.  While there, he tries to save widow and tries to fall in love with her.  At the same time, Robin and his men team up to save the forest from the corruption of the sheriff, who is responsible bloody wars that has been going on there for decades.  I must confess, I slept threw the first few minutes of the movie.  But that was only because I did had my coffee yet at the time.  Aside from that, I enjoyed Crowe's performance as Robin Hood and I will admit that he did a much better job at this role than Kevin Costner did back in the early 90's.

ROBIN HOOD gets a 6 for a pretty good effort, depsite that it was a long movie.

More reviews coming soon including SHREK EVER AFTER, which explains why I am wearing the funky sunglasses you see here!  Anyways, be blessed everybody!

INVICTUS

This film takes place in 1990 South Africa when Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) is elected President and is relying on the country's rugby team and his captain (Matt Damon) to win the World Cup and perhaps bring unity among the already divided nation.  Freeman gives one of the best performances of his career as Mandela and Clint Eastwood shines once again as director if this film!  Now, check out the photos I took at Madame Tussaud's last January and I must say that the Morgan Freeman and Nelson Mandela displays look-alike look almost exactly alike!  That may have been the reason why Freeman was so convicing in his role as Mandela in "INVICTUS", which I am giving a 9!

Have a great day and I will have my review on Robin Hood later this week!  Be Blessed, everyone!

crooklyn part 10

From Spike Lee's 1994 movie, "CROOKLYN", it's my favorite part of the whole movie featuring one of Aretha Franklin's best jams ever!

'Robin Hood' Trailer HD

My review on this movie is coming soon!

Queen Latifah - Latifah's Had It Up 2 Here

JUST WRIGHT

My intension for seeing "Just Wright" was because, very simply, I'm a huge fan of Queen Latifah! Both as a very talented actress and as one of the greatest female rappers of all-time! She plays Leslie Wright, a physical therapist who gets hired by Scott McKnight (Common), a superstar basketball player for the New Jersey Nets. McKnight is trying to recover from an injury that threatens to put an end to his basketball career.

But you will not believe what the two had to go through to get there. Movietickets.com calls it a modern-day Cinderella story. In my opinion, Cinderella, it's not? But it is an excellent date movie and it shows that even a rich, sports star can have compassion and not let their careers get in the way of finding love for who she is. I hope my future wife will be that way with me. That's another story all together.

Anyways, Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show) and Pam Grier also star. "JUST WRIGHT" gets a just right score of an 8!

It is one of the best date movies I have seen in a quite a while because Queen Latifah is a great actress!

More reviews coming soon and I also posted a classic video from Queen Latifah from back in 1991! Have a great day and Be Blessed, everybody!

INTRODUCTION & FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!

Hey, everyone! Let me first say "Welcome!" to my brand-new blog website! What started as an email distribution for my friends, family and co-workers as just a fun email to brighten their day is now being launched as my own website. Now, I will be reviewing all of the latest movies that I check out in the theaters and whatever comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray.

But for my first review on my blog site, I would like to take you back to late 2004 for one of the greatest football movies ever made. It's entitled, "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS". Based on the incredible true story, Billy Bob Thorton stars as the coach of a Texas high school football team whose hard work and dedication as a team brought hope and fire into their town.

The two things that brought me back to seeing this movie was the NBC series that is based on this movie and country music superstar Tim McGraw who co-starred with Sandra Bullock in another football movie based on a true story called "The Blind Side" But the memory I gained most from seeing this classic was when my best friend and I saw it on a "Friday Night" in the movie theater and when we went to a pizza restaurant to enjoy pizza, I ate half-the-pie in less than 30 minutes, that was when my best friend and I had a tough-love style talk with me about eating healthy and making lifestyle changes. Now, when I watch the scenes where McGraw's character abuses his son, it sort of reminds of the chat my best friend and I had that night. But 5 1/2 years later and 220 pounds lighter, I'm glad it clicked.

Back to the movie, as I mentioned, "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS" is one of the best football movies ever made, along with "Remember The Titans", "Jerry Maguire" and "Invicible." You can feel the excitement building throughout the movie as the players try their hardest to balance football with their personal lives. I love this movie so much and I am giving "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS" a 9!

So I hope you guys enjoyed my very first movie review on this site and more movie reviews coming soon! Have a great night and Be Blessed Everybody!
